Is there a place for grammar in a primary classroom? Should a teacher explain grammar rules to young learners or just play games? How to help student make less grammar mistakes? These are the questions that are often discussed but still have no answer when it comes to a definite group of students. That’s why we decided to overview possible approaches of teaching grammar to young learners. We are going to discuss benefits and possible problems of these approaches. So, you’ll be able to choose the one that suits your group. We are going to use examples from Wonderful World 2nd ed. This is the course that provides grammar explicitly in a child-friendly way. We are planning to make the next issue of our Teacher’s Ideas Collection, so all participants will be able to take part in the competition and share your ideas with the Ukrainian teachers’ community. |
